Ducati Malaysia now includes a new adventure tourer, the 2022 Multistrada V2S | Zigwheels

KUALA LUMPUR: Ducati Malaysia is on a roll this week, as the brand has introduced several new models giving prospective buyers a range of amazing options to choose from. Part of the new lineup is the 2022 Multistrada V2, 2022 Ducati Streetfighter V4SP, 2022 Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard, and 2022 Ducati Scrambler 1100 Tribute PRO.

Now, adding to the list is a new adventure-tourer called the 2022 Multistrada V2S. Retailing at RM 105,900, the new Ducati replaces the already up and running Multistrada 950.

2022 Ducati Multistrada V2S key details -

Powertrain: The new Multistrada V2S is powered by a 937 cc Testastretta 11 degree, V2-90 degree, twin-cylinder, desmodromic distribution engine. Paired with a six-speed, quick-shifter-tuned transmission with chain final drive and slipper clutch, the mill makes a maximum power output of 113 hp at 9,000 rpm and a peak torque of 96 Nm at 6,750 rpm.

Braking & handling: Taking care of the braking duties on the new Ducati adventure-tourer is a twin, 320 mm aluminium flange semi-floating discs with radially mounted Brembo Monobloc 4-piston callipers at the front. At the rear, it gets a 265 mm disc mounted on a Brembo two-piston floating calliper. Both ends benefit from a cornering anti-lock braking system.

As for suspension, the Multistrada V2S gets a 48 mm fully-adjustable USD front fork with Ducati Skyhook Suspension EVO. On the other hand, the rear comes with a fully adjustable mono-shock, an aluminium double-sided swingarm with a fully-adjustable electronic mono-shock.

Ride enhancers bits: The new Multistrada V2S benefits from several features that add to the motorcycle's riding dynamics. For instance, the four riding modes (Sport, Touring, Enduro, and Urban), Ducati Brake Light, Power Modes, Bosch 6-axis inertial platform IMU, and high-visibility offering 5-inch TFT LCD with Bluetooth connectivity. It also gets traction control and hill hold control.

Competitors: The new Malaysia-spec Multistrada V2S will rival the likes of the KTM 890 Adventure (RM 96,800) and BMW Motorrad F850GS 40th anniversary (RM 85,500).
