This year marks the 55th anniversary of AMG and Mercedes is celebrating the occasion with a handful of special editions.

The G 63 Edition 55 was introduced last month, and now it’s being followed by Edition 55 versions of the A 35 and CLA 35.

Currently available for order in Europe, the special editions are equipped with an AMG Aerodynamics Package that includes a front splitter, flics, a rear wing, and a blade-style diffuser.

The models have also been equipped with the AMG Night and Night II Packages, which see high-gloss black accents applied to the mirrors and window surrounds. They’re joined by black chrome tailpipes, tinted windows, and dark badging.

Designers didn’t stop there as the special editions feature a Cosmos Black metallic or Digital White metallic exterior with 19-inch alloy wheels that have a matte titanium grey finish, which contrasts with a “high-sheen rim flange.” Buyers will also find side graphics and a chrome fuel filler cap with AMG lettering.

The black theme continues in the cabin as there are AMG Performance seats with contrasting red center sections. Red accents can also be found on the illuminated door sill plates, floor mats, and door panels. Elsewhere, there’s brushed aluminum trim and a microfiber AMG Performance steering wheel with “Edition 55” badging.

The special edition package costs an additional €12,614 and can be ordered until November. Those willing to take the plunge will also receive an AMG indoor car cover, which features a breathable black outer layer complete with a contrasting silver AMG logo.

Power comes from a familiar turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 302 hp (225 kW / 306 PS) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. It enables the models to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in as little as 4.7 seconds, before hitting a limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
