QT 900: 520-580oC
Structure after tempering is martensit with small ferrite component.

Metal cutting machining is the same as that for alloyed special engineering steel grades of corresponding strength.
Note: 1.4313 is usually supplied in three tempering satges. Hot or cold forming in quenched condition is not envisaged. The annealing colours or scaling occours during welding impair the corrosion resistance. They must removed by pickling, grinding or sand-balsting (iron-free).
